I’ve been looking some good solutions on how to format my nokia 5310 express music phone in the different information resources in the internet but I haven’t find any much good solutions on how i can format my nokia 5310. My phone is working but some of the features is not working good. I was trying to connect it in my PC but my computer doesn’t able to recognize my phone, and I have an error occur “USB has not been reconized” and I took that my problem is on my cellphone. That’s why I want to format it for I know this could solve my problem in formatting my nokia 5310 express music phone.
This is what I’ve done according to some information I have read.
1. While my phone if power ON. Press the *7780# code, this code is usually used for the N60 series phone but this code is not working for nokia 5310. And I tried also another procedure again by doing this process:
Your phone must be power off, press the “*” + “3″ + “green call key” but nothings happen again I haven’t format my phone. What should I do for this phone, this is able to recognize in the computer and cannot format to hard boot formatting. My last choice is to find a flash utility cable suits in my phone and the software to re-program it and putting some IMEI codes.

I’m also have a problem with my nokia5310 that it some time’s give me the message: “SIM Card registeraition failed” and when i restart the phone it comes back to normal and i realised that it’s mostly hapend when i put it in my pocket!!
So, I thought that format the phone might help , but i’m also trayed every thing you did but it dosen’t work with my nokia5310,
So, if you found out a way to format the nokia5310 that works please send me the solution.

Try restore factory settings or update the software of the mobile
turn it off
then press power + call(the green) + 3 + *
warning: all data on the phone memmory will be deleted…
